Background
This story picks up after April 4, 2008, the episode in which Michael is shot. It picks up immediately from that — nothing that has happened on the show since that date has happened in this story. I don’t start the story on April 4, it’s just the point where the show canon stops and mine picks up. This story actually takes place in the future — starting June 2024.
